Statement of candidate integrity and promises of honesty

We believe that politicians should be able to be stand up and counted as honest citizens that deserve to represent the people of Britain. Unfortunately as has been covered only too well by the media, this has not been the case with our current crop of elected MPs.

We have had revelations about tax fiddles related to second homes, duck houses, castles, and similar abuses of your money. Remember that the largesse enjoyed by politicians comes from your wallet!

Warren Hendon supports the changes to MPs expenses, including no mortgage payments, gardening allowances, excessive travel and payments to relatives that at times have been found to be doing little or nothing. In addition the following is offered as an election campaign commitment - if elected:

List of promises to be kept if elected

1. Business as your MP will be conducted with honesty, integrity and openness.

2. Expenses claims to be kept to those necessary to do the job. Some expenses for essentials such as train fares to London, office costs, stationery etc. are necessary, however I promise not to fiddle claims and definitely no duck houses, moats, mortgage fiddles, claims for relatives or other superflous expense.

3. All expenses claims to be open to public view. This would be a future inclusion on this website; and claims to be published without items blanked out as was the case when current MP's expense details were produced.

4. No payments will be taken from third parties in exchange or payment for political action or other influence.
